My god, I've just discovered via the television that in France you can buy pea and carrot balls, fashioned to looks like large peas and... balls of mashed-up carrot. Mothers of the blogosphere, would you buy these little balls rather than actual vegetables for your child? (What? Why?) This from a country that looks down on fish and chips eaten out of a newspaper dripping with vinegar on a British beach in a bracing wind.
So that was a shock, but I'm getting over it with the help of a hunk of camembert. I managed to compose myself long enough to list this cute lipstick holder on pinkmilkvintage.
You don't get my lippie with it I'm afraid, but continuing the pea theme, featured in the shop is the owl & the pussycat ring (who as we know went to sea in a beautiful pea-green boat). More has been added to the Sale Rail too, so make sure you take a look.
Hopefully in between flat-hunting, overtime and festivities for D's birthday (which look likely to run from Friday to Monday and include poker, friends, champagne, a rather fab-looking looking hotel and a large forest for some healthy walks in the fresh air), I'll find the time to blog again soon. If anyone has tried the pea-balls, I'd be interested to hear how you got on.

Delightful little cards!
Am very excited today about our gorgeous little stationary set listed by Sarah over the weekend. Red Riding Hood notelets in a vintage fabric case, so cute, so perfect for your (a little late perhaps, but hey, I still haven't sent all of mine out so you're not alone in your tardiness) thank-you notes after Christmas.

Brain drain
I have no time to post today and am very tired and might fall asleep soon, but I have just spent a guilty five minutes on popsugar and thought I would raise a couple of points:
- Good to know SJP is a foodie, I like her even more now. Perhaps we buy the same brand of delicious jam or something.
- What are these shades? I mean really? Dubious isn't the word, Tom Cruise looks like a member of Boyzone from 1998. I think you know which one I mean.
- Katie Holmes' new hair is delicious and despite a recent photo in which she looked a little... heavy of leg, that red coat is fabulous. Fringes are the future, as long as you don't have my sort of hair.

Braniff International
While researching a vintage flight bag for pink milk vintage, I came across possibly the most stylish and cool airline ever... Braniff International baby, yeah!
Profiled in the site Braniff International, by graphic designer Carlos Yudica, who was attracted by the bold, bright graphics of the airline's ad campaigns as a child, US airline Braniff International went under in 1982. It left behind distinctive marketing campaigns which produced cutting-edge graphics like the visual above, as part of a rebranding campaign which spawned the drive for the 'End of the Plain Plane', starting in 1965.
Design leaders of the age like architect Alexander Girard were called in to overhaul the airline's image and the fleet of shiny new aircraft in a range of bright and beautiful colours like chocolate, orange, turquoise, blue and yellow, which were given stylish new flight attendant uniforms designed by Emilio Pucci in 1970 and then Halston later in the decade.
Some of those who were lucky enough to work for the airline and actually wear Halston's interpretation of sky-high seventies chic in soft tones of chocolate and oyster now belong to online communities and staff lists all over the web. The cult of Braniff continues.

Happy New Year!
With the Christmas pudding eaten and New Year champagne corks popped, the prospect of going back to work is now a mundane reality. A change is as good as a rest though kids, and ten days off and back in Britain felt like a good few weeks, so there's no excuse not to run into the office tomorrow bright eyed and champing at the bit to get going...
Anyway. Don't let this miserable time of year get you down, as the pink milk sale is upon us. We've filled up our sale rail just for you and with some pieces marked down by as much as 50%, make sure you take a look at the selection below which has been put together to tempt you. Happy 2008 - don't forget to check out pink milk vintage while you're there.
